Office Hours: Monday-Friday 11am to 6pm. Closed Holidays. Classes and Meeting rooms available outside of these hours.

The Columbia Center houses not only the Columbia Learning Center, but also the St. Helens Public Library, two meeting rooms, and an art gallery. The city operates the library, and CLC is ran by our customers, grants, and our yearly fundraiser, Black Tie and Blue Jeans; a summer social, dinner, and benefit auction. 
We were created by the community, for the community, and were offically dedicated in April of 1996. The Columbia Center was made possible through a generous donation that was matched by the community in donations, goods and services. The Columbia Center was then planned and built with a broad-based community project administered by more than 200 volunteers. 
The Columbia Learning Center's mission is: To create and nurture and environment which values life-long learning, and building community relationships. Keeping this statement in mind, we continue to offer new programs, and technologies for our rural, growing community. 

We started off as an Internet Service Provider, with additionally providing such services as computer training, and public computer lab. We were the first business to bring the Internet to a community in need, and in 2005 we felt that we had accomplished our goal, and moved on from the Internet. We continue to provide our computer classes, and public computer lab, but over the years we have added such services as The Chance to Become Scholarship, which gives graduating seniors a chance to go to college that they did not have before, and our Senior PC Users Group which is where seniors get the chance to meet once a month in an open forum to learn about computers; it starts at the beginning, and each month moves on to better, more advanced things; like anti-virus, and spy-ware protection, as well as complex information such as formatting a computer in a relaxed, easy going environment. It is taught by our senior volunteer Don Cross.
