Scappoose Bay Kayaking Opening Another New Location in St Helens “St Helens Outdoor Adventure” Scappoose Bay Kayaking is adding another location to the area in the building behind where the St. Helens Cafe was located in Historic Riverfront St. Helens. Tentatively it will be called the "ST HELENS OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CENTER" and offer boating necessities for the dock visitors, very unique "ADVENTURE ISLAND TRIMARAN" sail/yaks, classes on sailing and the same water related inventory that the Paddling center now offers in the Scappoose Bay Marina. "We want to be closer to the water for these unique sail trimarans and offer outdoor activities to the St. Helens river area." Steve Gibons said. We're thinking kite sales and rentals for Sand Island flyers, guided kayak tours from the river side to Ridgefield, Sauvie Island & Sand Island, Bag Ice for the boaters, Bait for the dock fisherman and some small snacks to munch on while walking the newly enegerized Old Town St. Helens area.
